Construction of playground, LamaLama village is situated at a distance of 40km away from the headquarter of Khliehriat border block and falls within 6km roughly distance from the international border with Bangladesh. It has a population APPROX. OF ABOUT 400. IT HAS A PLAYGROUND which is being utilized for playing football and other activities. Its dimension is 100x80sq.m. The amount sanctioned Rs. 2.00lakhs (SCA:2008-09) has been utilized for improvement of this playground in three ways i.e. (i) Leveling (ii) Widening and Earth clearing and (iii) Retaining wall. The condition of the ground prior to implementation of this scheme was not completely leveled as at some portions the ground was raised and therefore it has to be leveled. A little side cutting was done on the northern side of the ground to increase its width by 1 metre. A retaining wall was constructed on the southern side of the ground to prevent earth sliding. The wall is protecting the entire length on the southern side with its height of 6m from the bottom. The above said amount has been supplemented by public financial contribution which has made the ground presently in playable condition. The playground still requires breast wall on the northern side, retaining wall on the eastern side and a small gallery for special guests.

Footpath from PWD road to Lake UmbhangThis is a footpath which connects PWD road and Lake Umbhang, one of the biggest lake found in Jaintia Hills and which people regard it as sanctified. This is in Bataw, a border village falling under Khliehriat border block and which is located within 8km roughly distance from the international border. The length of the footpath is 40m. It was constructed under SCA (BADP) in September 2007 by the village committee. This footpath provides easy and comfortable route towards the Lake to people especially indigenous pnars for offering annual sacrifice on the bank of the Lake.

Footbridge from Borghat to Nadbor, BorghatBorghat is a border village situated within 3km roughly distance from the international border with Bangladesh. It has a population of approximately 450. Its distance from the headquarter of Khliehriat border block is 48km. Footbridge was constructed by village committee and funded by BAD under SCA (BADP) : 2006-07 in September, 2007 and completed in November 2007. This footbridge connects Borghat and Nadbor, another border village adjacent to Borghat. Its total length and breadth is 10m and 1.5m respectively. This footbridge has been of immense help to the people of both villages for commuting especially during the monsoon seasons where the villagers faced problems prior to the construction of this footbridge.

Footpath to playground, BorghatBorghat is a border village situated at a distance of 48km from the headquarter of Khliehriat Border Block. It has 80 numbers of households and approximate population of 450 and falls within 3km roughly distance from the international border with Bangladesh. It has 2 numbers of playgrounds which were located 200ms from the main road. A footpath from main road towards the main playground where most football tournaments were conducted was constructed by village committee and funded by Border Area Development Department under SCA (BADP) : 2006-07 in September 2007 and completed in November 2007. Its total length is 35m and breadth 1.5m. The amount earmarked was inadequate and it had to be supplemented by public contribution. This footpath has been of great help to the sports lovers as they no more have to walk on stones and little boulders or cross the bushy path to reach the ground.

Footpath at BorsoraBorsora is a village falling near the zero line of international border with Bangladesh. It has a rough population of 200 and 56 numbers of households. A footpath of about 30m in length was constructed by village authority funded by Border Area Development Department through SCA in 2006-07. The work was started in September 2007 and completed in December 2007. This footpath has been of immense help to the people of the village and has rendered the people smooth and easy path instead of rough and stony one.

Construction of Footpath, SuchenSuchen is a village located within 8km roughly distance from the international border with Bangladesh. It has a population of approximately 200 with 40 number of households and is 30km away from the Khliehriat Border Block headquarter. This footpath was carried out under SCA (BADP) and the work was constructed by the village committee with the villagers as laboureRs. This project had really generated employment to the local villagers of Suchen rim. The work was started in June 2009 and completed in October 2009. Its total length is 420m. A portion of the sanctioned amount was also utilized in leveling and improvement of a jeepable road in this village. This project has really eased the commuters especially during the monsoon seasons. This footpath is the only C.C. footpath in the village.

Construction of Lily Flower Lower Primary School, Chiehruphi Lily Flower L.P. School is a private institution located at Chiehruphi which is a border village falling within 9km roughly distance from the international border with Bangladesh. Chiehruphi has a population of 700 and has 3 L.P. Schools, 1 U.P. School and a Secondary School. Lily Flower is the only English L.P. School which provides English Education to 80 students with the help of 4 teacheRs. The school received assistance from the Border Area Development Department under SCA in the year 2006-07. The total length of the building is 60m which includes an office. The amount sanctioned under BADP was utilized for construction of an office and teachers’ room and a little repair like doors and roof.

Construction of Playground, WahkhohWahkoh is a border village within 1km roughly distance international border with Bangladesh. The village is situated on the NH-44 and has about 70 households and an approximate population of 360. This village has only one playground which suits only young boys below 15 years for playing football. Prior to implementation of this scheme the ground was not in playable condition and the boys had to go to nearby villages for playing football matches. The whole amount sanctioned i.e. Rs. 0.50lakhs was spent only for labour charges as the work permit only manual labour. The ground is inaccessible to earth movers or any other machines. The work was carried out by Kynjai Club, the only Sports Club of Wahkoh village and the labourers were the villagers of Wahkoh themselves. The work involved expansion, earth clearing and construction of earth drain to make passage for rain water. Presently even grown up players are using the ground for football competition but with restricted number of playeRs. With the above sanctioned amount and public financial contribution it was able to develop it into a mini playground.

Construction of Playground, RangadRangad a border village falling within 10km roughly distance from the international border with Bangladesh is 26km from the headquarter of Khliehriat border block. It has about 80 houses and a population of approximately 410. It has only one playground for sports and other activities. Rupees 0.50 lakhs was sanctioned for improvement of this playground. The whole expenditure during the year 2007-08 was Rs. 0.70lakhs which was borne by the Managing Committee of the Sein Raij. The work was carried out by the supervision of Sein Reij, Rangad with the local villagers as laboureRs. More than half of the amount sanctioned under SCA (BADP) was spent as charges for earth mover. Leveling and a little earth clearing was done with the help of earth mover. The present ground has an area of 400sqm. The ground still requires breast wall, retaining wall, side drains and iron goal post as the villagers are lovers of football.

Retaining wall for C.O.G. Cemetery, KuliangKuliang is a village located at the zero line of international border with Bangladesh. It has a population of 800 and 130 numbers of houses. During the year 2006-07 an amount of Rs. 1.50lakhs was sanctioned under SCA (BADP) for construction of a retaining wall for a cemetery of the Church of God in this village. The cemetery lies on the southern part of Kuliang near the zero line and the wall was constructed on the part of the cemetery along the side of the road to border out post. The length and height of the wall are 80m and 1.8m respectively. This wall has prevented sliding of the earth. But as the area of the cemetery is too large the amount sanctioned is inadequate to cover the entire length.

Construction of L.P. SchoolElectric is a locality under Ratacherra village located along the NH-44 and falling within 1 km from the International border with Bangladesh, it is  km from the headquarter of Khliehriat border block. Electric L.P. School is the only L.P. School in this locality of Ratacherra village. This school caters the educational needs of 86 students. It has 2 teacheRs. This building is two storied while the ground floor which is an L.P. School is funded by BAD under SCA, the upper which is U.P. is funded by SSA. The school received financial assistance during the year 2007-08 under SCA (BADP) an amount of Rs. 1.00lakhs which was too insufficient. The following year i.e. 2008-09 the school received an amount of Rs. 2.00lakhs for its completion under SCA (BADP): 2008-09. The L.P. school building was completed in October, 2009. Its plinth area is 37m2 with 3 doors, 6 windows and three rooms.

Construction Playground, TongsengTongseng is a village lying within 4km roughly distance from the internal border with Bangladesh. It has a population of approximately 370. The village presently has only one playable playground which suits only young boys of below 12 years for playing football. It offers no scope for expansion. The village committee together with a social sports club of Tongseng felt that there was a need of having a new playground. With a small fund they could manage to buy an area of land on the slope of a hill. The village received assistance from Border Area Development Department under SCA (BADP) during the year 2008-09 and the amount sanctioned was Rs. 2.00lakhs. The amount was utilized for earth clearing, leveling and filling which was carried out by the social sports club. The present field has 2500sqm in area. To develop this into a complete playground as targeted by the village social sports club, the club requires more funds from different sources.

Construction of Footpath including wall, WahkohWahkoh is a border village 65kms from the headquarter of Khliehriat border block. Situated on the NH-44 it has about 70 number of households and a population roughly of 310. It falls in the range (0-1) km roughly distance from the international border with Bangladesh. The above scheme has been funded under SCA (BADP) :  2008-09. The schemes includes a footpath which runs from near the residence of Shri Late Binoi Patwad to near the residence of Shri Law Pohshna and a retaining wall near the residence of Shri Binoi Patwad. The height and length of the retaining wall is 9m and 20m respectively. The surface area of the breast wall is 20sqm. The length of the footpath is 60m with a drain running on one side. This footpath has been of immense help to the people of the village who used stones and small boulders as footpath for going uphill and downhill prior to execution of this work.
